More Seating along the Great Glen Way
Target Completed!
The Great Glen Way Seating Project aimed to put seats at view points, in sheltered areas and other points along the route where a rest was likely to be greatly appreciated by all route users.
This project was only able to operate as resources became available.
Thanks to your help, the view where you thought 'this would be a great place for a seat' will now have one sooner rather than later.
We are sure you will agree that there are some great spots for seats along the Great Glen Way, and now we can start putting them in place!
Great Glen Way Seating Project

Amount raised: £2,463.90
In mid 2008 10 recycled plastic benches were purchased and are currently being installed at various sites along the Great Glen Way by the Rangers and British Waterways staff. The Rangers are also making wooden seats using timber from fallen trees as they are cleared from the route.
Update: December 2010
Thanks to your help, in 2010 we reached our target of £3200 and implemented this project along the route.
