Trailblazers' Rest
What better way is there than to walk a section of the Great Glen Way then sleep out under the stars!
The Trailblazers' Rest is modelled on similar areas in Scandinavia and has been planned in conjunction with Forestry Commission Scotland and private estates.
On entering the area, route users may find some or all of the following: an emergency three sided shelter, a bio toilet, picnic tables complete with 'safe' areas onto which stoves can be placed, fire pits, log seating and areas to pitch tents. Each site will serve the needs of both route users and land owners.
As with other areas of the Great Glen Ways, wayfarers will be welcome to use the area provided they are responsible and adhere to the Scottish Outdoor Access Code.
